Useful Media Technologies

When we had each entered our own story line on blogger, we sat down as a team and discussed everybody's ideas. After failing to reach a verdict on which storyline to produce into a film, we decided that the only way to move forward was to create an entirely new plot in which we would all work together on, or mould a plot from the existing story lines we had already created. This turned out to be the best way to create our final story line as we selected parts of everybody's work and collectively structured them together in an articulate plot. The main theme recurring throughout all of our individual work was revenge. We decided this should be the central topics in which our film focuses upon. After we had decided on out plot we then worked with Jodie in creating a script on the program 'Celtex', which we could then start filming with.

We looked on well sourced sights such as YouTube and IMDb which were filled with material similar to which we wish to create. YouTube was particularly helpful when researching different films as we could watch films that other media students our age created.

Keeping in contact with my media group was vital for our ideas to come together to instigate the production of our media products. For example when we all drafted a story line, we published it through the medium 'blogger'. Blogger, despite its difficulty using tools, blogger acted as a structure we could all use in the same time and the same place, where we could visually view everybody's ideas. Blogger also has a feature in which we can view other members of our group work, review it and then make comments on if any improvements can be made. We also created a group chat on Facebook in which we could always send each other messages, whether it was reminders on which props to bring for the next days filming, or just if a spelling error was made in a piece of homework.
